LIMÓN
BASICS - CONTEMPORARY DANCE
/for beginners
Tuesdays and
Thursdays: 19.30-21.00
/for intermediates
Wednesdays 19.30-21.00 |
I want
to give you some idea of the basic concepts of movement
that underlie the "language" or style of Limón
technique. Limón dancers learn to think about movement
in terms of alignment, succession, opposition, potential
and kinetic energy, fall, weight, recovery and rebound
and suspension. By implementing these principles in exercises,
the dancer achieves the length, stretch and strength in
the muscles that provide the freedom to do the swings,
off-center turns, suspensions and other more difficult
movements in Limón technique. These concepts form the
basic vocabulary of the Limón style, and it is the dancer's
physical mastery of the vocabulary that makes the movement
look expansive, effortless and free. |

In my profession I've worked a lot with speecdh and
voice. Through the years of attending university (SZTE)I
taught seech technique. I've been performing in theaters
since 1998, as substitute actor (National Theatre of
Szeged, Újszínház, Gyermekszínház). Then I turned to
movement- and dance theater, and worked with several
choreographer. From 2000 I became the active member
of the Artus Dance Theater, leaded by Gábor Goda. Participated
in Hungarian and foreign contact improvisation workshops. |
CONTACT
IMPROVISATION
Tuesday: 19.30-21.00 |
I examine the influence of speech and movement of each
other, based on my previoud experience in different
theaters. Using the elements of contact dance we improvise
through the patterns of so called "trust-exercises",
in which course giving sounds also plays an important
role. We're heading toward body awareness, changing
the center of the body. We ger to know the basic elemnets
of contact improvisation (jumping, falling, "surfing"),
and develop the awareness of the body by excersise in
pairs. In the training we create an 'inner attention",
which is foucused on our own selves and the inner quality
of the movement. |

| ART
OF MOVEMENT - ORCHESTIKA
/base level
Monday - Wednesday: 18.00-19.30
|
My instructions of Orkesztika and artistic motion follow
strictly the theory of Dienes- system of movements.
In the praxis I alloy them with traditional techniques
learned from other classical masters in artistic motion
especially with those I learned from Berczik Sára and
I am adding to them my own experience.
The purpose of my sessions is to develop body awareness,
perception of space, sense of time,
to expand dynamic feeling, to form personality and to
teach many other things than can be taught by moving.
We will be learning simplest looking things - that are
even therefore very difficult- such as: to stand, to
go etc. Real basic session.
Contrary to all other sessions,
almost in every case we will approach movements with
always new exercises.

Pedagogue, Physical Educator, Kinethologist,
|
I
first met the art-of-movement as a phisical educator in1997,
which I got engaged from the first moment. I finished
the "Esthetic Body Forming" course of the Hungarian
Movementculture Association, where I was taught by such
prominent instructors as Sára Berczik, Éva E. Kovács,
Judit Kármán, Ágnes Szőllősi, Dr. Gedeon Dienes, István
Pálosi and Márk Fenyves.
In the Art of Movement Studio I've been holding classes
from 2001 for those, who want to move healthy and beautifully,
or to develop their physical condition, and form their
body and soul to be harmonic. In the classes the joy of
movement develops, builds the awareness of the body, makes
one more confident, so it has a character building effect
too.

Martha
Graham is considered the "mother" of modern
dance that took shape in the United States of America

her individual dance style was moulded into a technique
and system. Graham's personality, physique, view formed
the foundation of this technique of modern dance, which
by now known worldwide. The systematic execution of
her series of movements brings about in body awareness,
coordination, and concentration. Additionally, they
result in the expression and experience of dramatic
feelings.(subtitutes: Rácz Eszter and Hucker, Kata)

including the contact of the bodies. The point is not

| "FROM
THE BASICS OF THE CONTEMPORARY DANCE TO THE WINGS"
/ for teeneagers
|
Starting from the basic elements, throug one year we
get to a phase only dance can give us. My duty is to
give a world happier people after my course. This session
will not only develop you in your tecnique as a dancer,
but you will find the wasy of expressing and understanding
yourself. You can find the society that can only be
found here. I believe if somebody dances, forgets about
the boundaries. Ther's only the one and the music. A
youthful, dynamic session with great music, people and
space oly for teenagers. But it's also important to
learn the technical bases, because once you get, you
also get the feeling of it, and you can spread your
wings to make everything you own. I don't want to create
uniformal, but to put the disguse off your personality. |
